Did you know that Alexander’s conquests were all achieved by the time he was 33? In fact Alexander might have conquered the rest of the world had he not died at that young age of fever while he was preparing to invade Arabia. This brave soldier, known as one of the world’s finest generals, conquered an empire that stretched from Greece to Asia Minor and all the way to India. His tour of conquests lasted 11 years in which he had journeyed over 32,000 km or 20,000 miles. Alexander became king of Greece at the age of 20 following the death of his father King Philip II. Alexander’s purpose of embarking on his military journey was to complete his father’s plan to finish off the Persians, something that he successfully achieved soon after he became king.
